ArtScience Museum

ArtScience Museum

The ArtScience Museum has three exhibitions: Future World, Floating Utopias and Wonderland. You can choose to buy pass to a single exhibition, two exhibitions or all three. Floating Utopias was the first exhibition I visited. Floating Utopias showcased gigantic inflatables and explore the history of inflatables. It had few good attractions but it was small. It also felt underwhelming. The next exhibition was the Future World. This exhibition combined art and technology. I was very excited for this one as…

Dairy Farm Nature Park Trail, Little India, Chinatown, Newton Food Centre

Dairy Farm Park The first place I visited today was Dairy Farm Park Trail. This was part of NTU’s social and cultural integration activity. They had a lot of hiking and biking trails. We went on a hiking trail towards their two main spots. The two spots had really beautiful views. The hiking was exhausting because of the weather. It was hot and humid even though we went in the morning. But, it was also worth it because of the…

Gardens by the Bay

Before I even start, I will say gardens by the bay is my favorite place. The whole place is beautiful. You are bound to be mesmerized everywhere you walk. The gardens has 12 attractions and you have to pay for 3 of them – Floral Fantasy, Flower Dome and Cloud Forest. The standard rate for the two conservatories + floral fantasy + shuttle service is $46. I know it’s expensive but it is so worth it. I went to floral…

The gallery had a lot of interesting content. All the artwork at the exhibitions were amazing. My favourite exhibition was the Awakenings: Art in Society in Asia 1960-1990’s. It explores how artists contributed in changing political, social and artistic conventions. The artwork…

Bugis Street, Haji Lane, Marina Bay – Night

The first stop of the day was the Bugis Street. It is one of the best shopping place to find cheap and trendy clothes. There are a lot of cheap deals and you can even bargain for a lower cost. I got two skirts for $25 and a hat for $5! Make sure to take lots of cash or carry a NETS pay card as those are the only things they accept. There is also a mall nearby called Bugis…

Singapore Tour: City Hall, Esplanade Theaters, Marina Bay, Merlion

As part of our university’s orientation, we were provided with a tour of Singapore. We took the MRT to go all the different places. MRT is the most convenient option when travelling in Singapore. It is fast, well-connected and affordable. We were provided with the Singapore tourist pass for the MRT today. The pass costs $10 for one day, $26 for two consecutive days, $30 for three consecutive days. I would only suggest buying the tourist pass if you actually…
